About the Course:

 

Edgewater College offers a series of carefully designed bespoke Business English courses. Whatever your language needs and business context we have the course for you! These classes are practical and skills based with special emphasis on successfully operating in today’s demanding business and executive environment.


This course is ideal for busy professionals or trainees working in trade, commerce, finance or industry, who find it necessary to upgrade their English fast.


We cover a variety of commercial situations, including; Management and Administration, Marketing, Advertising, Sales and Customer Relations, as well as realistic input on international cultural contexts.  From the boardroom to the mailroom and beyond, our speaking, listening, reading and writing lessons will prepare you for any business eventuality.


We understand that appropriate language choices can radically impact on your business success and our expert teaching staff tailor their lessons to your everyday requirements.
Our Business English teachers have worked with central banks in various countries as well as governmental and non -governmental organizations and many multinational organisations.


Functional language items include vital skills such as making proposals, negotiating and compromising, expressing agreement, etc. Naturally all of the above are accompanied by thorough groundings in areas like Business English vocabulary and use of register to convey levels of formality.


As with all Edgewater College English courses, the aim is to improve the communicative competence of each individual in all contexts and situations – social, inter-personal, and of course professional.  We focus on developing all your communication skills, with special emphasis on speaking, pronunciation and listening. We place an emphasis on all learners from beginners to advanced, enabling them to function in both social and professional situations with confidence.

 

Course Content:

  • All courses consist of 20 Hours of English classes per week, with additional one – to-one options available in the afternoons( at an additional cost).
  • Different levels available – all students will be tested on arrival and placed in a class suited to their level.
  • Small classes ensure personal attention for each student, and each course is relevant to the professional area of the student in response to the specific and special needs of the individual.

 

Tutors:

All of our teachers are native English-speaking university graduates, most holding post-graduate qualifications in TEFL, many have wide-ranging and diverse work experiences gained locally and internationally.
